POST 3: MEMORIES

When and where did you learn to ride a bike?

When I think of the word "trust," I always think of the first time I learned to ride a bike alone. I think I was ten or maybe twelve years old. I was in a passageway near my house with my family (I have to say that I am the youngest in my family so everyone knew how to ride a bike except me). I remember that my father was in charge of teaching me to ride a bicycle without wheels and I was a little girl, so I trusted my father completely ... until that day.

My dad said that he was by my side, that he supports me and that he would never leave me alone, so I could ride without worrying about falling, but that was just a trick that maybe all parents use with their children, because it works, I simply pedaled without looking back for a moment and when I looked for my father with his eyes ... he was no longer there.

That day I learned two things:
how to ride a bike and that not everything our parents say is true.
